Italy Village Properties

Along the Mediterranean coastline lies a picturesque Italian Village named "My Village". It can be found by traveling to Italy and utilizing the Property Tab on your Mafia Wars game. The images are breathtaking and there are many surprises in store. Don't let the beauty of this small seaside village distract you. There are major crime syndicates waiting for your arrival. Show them who's in charge and start building your Village.

The first property you will encounter as you explore Italy is The Port. Your Level I Port is ready and waiting for you. Once you claim it, strive to upgrade it to Level X. The Port is like the Chop Shop, Weapons Depot and Armory Depot of New York but is not specific to any one type of equipment item. There are a total of 10 items that you can craft. Each item unlocks as you upgrade your Port. There are four property building parts that randomly drop while performing jobs, fights and robberies. Use these parts or Reward Points to upgrade and unlock the items that will make your character stronger.

 

 

Lira is required to craft the equipment items and no additional building parts are needed. The items are listed below along with their stats and any character skill boosts.

Level 1: Escalation (47/37)

Level 2: Officers Jacket (48/40)

Level 3: Osprey (52/24)

Level 4: Conchiglia (35/55) +1 Energy

Level 5: Coccodrillo (57/40) +1 Stamina

Level 6: Un Tuono (60/49)

Level 7: Water Truck (45/64) +5 Health

Level 8: Antiproiettil (66/52)

Level 9: Bolla (68/55) +2 Attack

Level 10: Fanteria (23/71) +2 Defense

There are 5 other properties which will unlock as you progress through Italy. These properties will earn you more Lira and Boosts as you upgrade them. These properties require an additional building item to upgrade. The unique property building items are acquired by doing specific jobs.

FarmVille and FrontierVille Cross Promos!

We’ve lined up some cool cross promotions coming your way soon! Mafia Wars has teamed up with FarmVille and FrontierVille for the much anticipated launch of Italy. When players play FarmVille during the cross promo, they can receive a special notification directing them to Mafia Wars. From there, they’ll have a chance to earn an Italian-themed Limited Edition item after leveling up 3 times and reaching level 8, as well as the opportunity to enter Italy!

For the FrontierVille cross promo, players playing FrontierVille will be able to enter Mafia Wars through a notification where they will work on mastering the job “Find an Old Family Friend” in the Palermo region (District 2). Once they complete their task, they’ll be handsomely rewarded with another great Limited Edition item.

Italy Beta Now!

Mafia Wars introduces Italy, a brand new destination that is full of challenges. A game containing the word mafia would not be complete without an homage to the country where it all began. Italy is in the Beta test phase and will be available to all accounts that have reached Level 5 or higher on October 23rd. There are no other requirements to gain access to Italy. The overall layout and functionality is very similar to Las Vegas but there are a few key differences.

1. Regions

Italy is divided into Regions and they function like the Districts of Las Vegas. Only the first 5 Regions will be available and Regions 6-8 will be released at a later date. Regions will contain Energy, Fighting, and Social paths.

2. Currency

The currency used in Italy is called Lira. There will be no Vault like in Las Vegas and the banking system will be like all the other destinations to include the money laundering fee. The Italian Satchel of Lira will be available and will function in the same manner as the Envelope of Thai Baht and the Vegas Rack of Chips.  

3. Jobs

Regions have 2-3 Paths (Energy, Fighting, and Social paths). All jobs in each Path will have 4 tiers of mastery (Bronze, Silver, Gold, and Ruby). Mastering all Paths of a Region is no longer required to complete a tier. When you defeat the Region Boss, you automatically advance to the next level of mastery. You will be able to request help for Social Jobs every 8 hours. All jobs require a variety of equipment which can be purchased with Lira from the inventory pages.

Giftable Goods

Hey Mafia Wars fans! We’re pleased to bring you giftable animals and Vegas items! We’ve come up with a selection of animals and Vegas goods that you’ll now be able to exchange with your friends. You can now swap Mystery Animals, Vegas items, and more!

Keep in mind that in order to maintain fair game play and to promote the enjoyment of all, not every item in the game can be giftable – the rules are as follows:

1. If an item can only be purchased for RP or city cash, an item is not giftable

2. If it is a unique item that a user can only possess one of (e.g. boss reward items, challenge mission items), an item is not giftable

3. If an item is an energy boost, it will not be giftable

Master All the Executive Masks

Get ready for the Masked Robbery event coming this weekend. You'll need to put your game face on, or in this case, your mask.

To honor all the legendary master robbers who've worn executive masks (not to mention midterm elections are just around the corner), you'll have 5 days to collect 3 executive masks - Bubba, Dubya, and Rock.

For those of you who competed in the Prized Pig event, you'll be familiar with the rules of Masked Robbery. Send masks to your mafia and ask masks from your mafia through Facebook feeds and requests. Each mask has 3 levels of mastery - bronze, silver, and gold. When you collect enough masks to complete mastery, you earn high-powered items to get stronger. See the table below.*

Master all the masks to Gold Mastery to get the grand daddy of prizes, the Executive Decision (130 ATT, 102 DEF). Get ready for all the executives and play Mafia Wars now.

Declare War Against Your Enemies

Brush up on Sun Tzu's The Art of War and grab your helmet. It's time to declare war on your enemies.

We have updated the Declare War feature so that you go to war against rivals instead of your friends/frienemies. We have included 10 new awesome rewards and a new achievement that you can only get from winning wars.

Here's how you go to war.

1. Make sure you have assigned your top 6 mafia members. You can do that by clicking the "My Mafia" tab and picking 6 friends to fill up those top slots. A friend's class (Fearless, Maniac, or Mogul) determines which position (ie Bodyguard, Bagman, Wheelman) you can promote them to.

2. Go to the Declare War page and pick an enemy to attack. Your war lasts 16 hours, and you can only declare one war each time.

3. Recruit your mafia to go to battle with you. The more friends that help you bring down your enemy, the better chance you have to win. Friends get "Helper rewards" if you win your war. Friends can help fight in as many wars as they want, but can only receive "Helper rewards" for the first 5 wars they contribute to.

4. Below are all the items you can win from Declare War. Earn all 16 Declare War rewards to gain the Warlord Achievement. Play Mafia Wars and pummel your opponents now!

Italy is Coming

Italy, the newest Mafia Wars destination, is almost here. Get ready to travel to the birthplace of the Mafia.

Your journey begins in Rome. Grow your Roman empire by completing new crimes and building luxurious Italian properties that produce money and weaponry. Defeat rival bosses like a gladiator by attacking them with more powerful shivs, grenades, and stun guns.
