Dead Man Talking: Limited Time Mission

You asked for it and Mafia Wars delivered. For those of you who can't get enough Missions, look for the new limited time Mission called Dead Man Talking. Find it on your Home Page Module or on your Mission Bar. This Mission consists of 6 parts eah offering exciting tasks and challenges. Look for great loot, experience, currency, Loyalty Point and Victory Coin rewards as you work your way through Dead Man Talking. Complete all the tasks and get the Grand Prize of a Lion Fish which has stats of 136/75. Don't be the Dead Man Talking. When the timer runs out, the Mission will expire and you won't get another chance.

Release Notes 2/11/2011

1. Atlantic City Mobile Chapter 4

Camden County , the 4th Chapter of Atlantic City, is now available. Fully master this chapter and you will be awarded a Parkour Master that is an Armor item with stats of 105/121!

2. Italy Consumables

Sets of Hidden Charges and Cooked Books are now on the Free Gift page. You can accept up to 10 of each a day to make Italy a little easier to master.

3. Rivals List

Do you have a beef with someone in Mafia Wars? Now you can create your own Rivals List by adding up to 10 players of your choice. Add players directly from the fightlist or their Mafia Wars profile page. Players can be added or removed at any time.

4. FrontierVille and Café World Cross Game Promotions

The FrontierVille and Café World cross game promotions have officially ended. You can still use any Beaver Pelts and Doctored Invoices that are in your inventory to craft items but will not be able to create anymore.

5. The Big Game Faceoff

The Wisconsin Cheddarheads won the Big Game and player who built the winning franchise were awarded with a Victory Ring for each one. Congrats to to all who hold Victory Rings!

6. Limited Time Mission

The first Limited Time Mission was released on February 3rd. All players had 8 days to complete it. Look for more of these Missions in the future.

7. Missions Bar Change

There is now a drop down menu to view the status off all your Missions. From the Missions Bar, click on "SEE ALL" and all the statistics of your Mission(s) will be viewable in one place.

8. Forum Board Live Question and Answer Session

The Mafia Wars Forum Board hosted a live chat Question and Answer session. Go to this Forum Board Thread to see the all questions and answers. A second session is scheduled for February 11th at 2pm PST. To participate or review the questions, go HERE.

9. Player Advisory Committee Update

Love Hurts Mock War

Attention ALL Mafia Wars fans! On Valentine's Day, love will be in the air but in the Mafia Wars community the streets will be Blood Red. Grab your best fighting gear and join the Love Hurts Mock War. Fight your way to the top in this huge, community organized battle to the death... then heal... then death again (and it goes on and on and on as long as you can keep up). It's going to hurt! If you want to show off your fighting skillz or get a feel for what a Clan War is really like, now is the time. Participation is open to all Mafia Wars players and signing up is easy. Go to the Love Hurts Mock War Spreadsheet and follow the instructions. You won't want to miss out because there will be lots of prizes and fun. Winners will be randomly selected so everybody who participates has a chance to win. The Mock War will start on February 13th at 12:00 am PST and last all through February 14th. All the action will take place on the Love Hurts Mock War Fan Page.

Mafia Wars Valentine's Day Event

The Mafia Wars Valentine's Day Event is coming your way! For this special event, you'll be working on collecting Broken Hearts that'll randomly drop when you do jobs, fight, or rob your opponents. When a heart drops from jobs, fights, or robbing, you'll also get a chance to get a mini-game where you can win up to 5 more hearts! The Broken Hearts will also be giftable from your free gifts page, so when the event is underway, be sure to be generous and share your hearts with your mafia so they'll return the favor. Something important to keep in mind is that the more base energy you have, the harder the job you should select to get your Broken Heart drops - so if you have 1000 energy, doing 2 energy jobs in New York or Italy won't get you heart drops.

The goal here is to collect as many Broken Hearts as you can get your hands on - you'll then get to pick from 4 loot items to redeem the hearts for. The more valuable the loot item, the more hearts it'll cost you. If you're really lucky, you'll can also have a chance to loot the rare Golden Hearts, which are equivalent to 5 Broken Hearts. You never know where one will drop or if one might appear when you accept a gift, so be on the lookout.

Limited Time Missions

Six new limited time missions are coming your way! If you're at level 10 or above, you'll be able to participate. The goal is to work with Rosario Dominquez to help find Rosario's brother. He's been taken and it's up to you to help track him down. You'll notice some of the missions will have a new task where you'll need to call on your mafia members to help you through Mission Crew requests. You gotta hurry because once the countdown timer starts, you'll be racing against the clock. If you make it in time and complete the six missions, you'll be rewarded with the Kelly M50 with 140 attack and 73 defense!

Release Notes 2/2/2011

1. Limited Time 8 hr Energy Packs

Starting now and going on thru Valentine's Day, Mafia Wars is proud to spread a little love. We have decreased the energy pack timers from 24hrs to 8hrs, so use the little extra to complete those extra Italy region jobs.

2. Fight List Revamp

We are looking to revamp the fight list and need your feedback. Go to this Forum Board post to see images of what we are working on. More importantly, leave some feedback so we can tailor it to what the players want most.

3. New Lucky Stash Bonus Items

We've added 10 new exclusive items in the Lucky Stash slot bonus wheel. Take it for a spin and try your luck.

4. Healing Improvements

We are slowly adding a new option to healing. Heal in all destinations using New York cash!!! Be on the lookout for this option as it is rolling out now!

 

5. My Recruits Update

Now there is even more incentive to enlist new recruits. The loot item rewards have improved. If your recruit gets to level 25, you get a Master (48/60) and your recruit get a Apprentice (29/47). 

6. Job Currency

Currency will now be taken directly from the bank when performing jobs that require it. It is no longer necessary to make withdraws. 

7. Fighting Achievements

The fighting achievements shown below have been removed from the Fight Club and will now be rewarded automatically once you reach the designated level of Fight Mastery

8. Private Zoo Limited Time Item

There is a new limited time item available in the Private Zoo. The Amur Leopard has stats of 69/34. To unlock and craft this item, you need 10 Raw Meat "parts".

1. Shark Tank

The Shark Tank threshold was raised to level 600 due to an increase in overall player levels across the game. There were not enough live targets to go around so it was reverted back to level 450. Players get The Shark Tank Achievement when they reach Level 600. Check this Customer Support Page for more information.

2. Hollow Warriors

Hollow Warriors have arrived! Visit the Free Gifts page and smuggle some loot today. 5 Hollow Warriors can be opened once a day. Don't miss your chance to get the Island Hopper which has stats of 74/118!

3. Fight Club

Recent changes were made to the Fight Club. A second Fighter's Energy Refill was added based on player response. Check this Zynga Forum Board Thread for more information.

 
 4. Crack The Safe

Get your hands on the vehicle Warp Speed (97/52) by cracking the safe. Find instructions on your Home Page and get Crackin'!

5. The 2 Minute Hustle

1. Fast and Furious Marketplace Promotion

For a limited time starting on Tuesday January 25th at 12:01am PST, a new set of vehicles will be available for purchase in the Marketplace inspired from the "Fast and Furious" movie. Whether you're into the classic power of a muscle car or the sleek designs and technology of the import tuner, we're sure you'll find a car that can get you through a quarter mile in 10 seconds or less!

2. Italy Regions 6-8 information released

Customer Support released a series of factoids about the new Italy Regions on the Italy Regions 6-8 Preview Week page.
