Well, Mobsters!

"Blue Eyed Nate" and "Crazy Dragon" once again covered a lot of ground! This time they were joined by the one and only "Cerulean Master!" Together, these three thugs covered a number of exiting topics, including Declare War Healing, New Icing Mastery, and Blue Eye's hair! Plus, as promised, they answered questions from The Mob.

Fight and Robbed Loot Update!

Everyone should learn how to fight if they expect to make it out there on the mean streets, and new Fight Loot has just made fighting more rewarding! But that's not the only good news on the loot front! Robbed Loot will now come from the same list as Fight Loot, ensuring that any items you pilfer are especially useful in your quest to assume control of your territory. Lastly, we are aware that some players have been experiencing issues with Brazil Loot drops. We are working to eliminate those issues as swiftly as possible. In the meantime, you don't get loot by wishing for it, so get back to fighting and robbing, mobsters!

New Boss Fight: Defeat Roughhouse Rafael!

The Boss Fight you know and love has been upgraded! This is the first of a number of exciting fighting features coming to Mafia Wars this quarter! In this Boss Fight, you’ll be tasked with taking out Roughhouse Rafael, and you’re given one week to do it!

A full week of fighting?... Sounds like only those with high stamina will survive. On the contrary, stamina has nothing to do with this fight! Instead, you will need to collect 4 new ammos from jobs, wars, robbing, and, should you choose, gifting to bring down Roughhouse.

As for the new ammos, our informants tell us that it would be unwise to assume that any one of them is the best and use it the whole time. Apparently, the ammos, when used in certain sequences, unlock particularly damaging combos! You will have the opportunity to discover one such combo by completing a Quest Event that will run during the Boss Fight. You will have to discover other combos on your own or via your friends’ feeds if they beat you to the punch.

Get ready, ‘cause only the roughest and toughest will win this Boss Fight!

Cheaters never prosper!

Scoundrels be warned: We’re cleaning up the streets! Our dynamite enforcement team has turned monitoring daily game activity into a science, and we’re taking action armed with the bulletproof evidence they have been uncovering since mid-March.

We have since banned over 6,400 accounts for abusive botting and handed out over 1,000 penalties for lesser offenses.

While we can’t reveal the details of our banning process, know that we are cracking down, so cheaters beware! For the rest of you, play by the rules and we’ll get along just fine.

Double the Loot, Triple the Mastery

We have a confession to make! In a fit of passion, we accidentally enabled triple mastery for jobs in Italy when it was only supposed to apply to jobs in Las Vegas. Mea culpa. Normally we would correct a mistake as soon as we possibly could, but we noticed how much you were enjoying this one, so we are going to leave Italian triple mastery enabled for another 24 hours before correcting our error. So point your private jets at Italy and master those jobs three times faster than normal while you still can!

While the Italian triple mastery accident will be corrected shortly, Las Vegas will continue to have triple mastery until mid next week, so consider Italy an enjoyable day trip on your way to a week of triple mastery in luxurious Las Vegas!

But wait, there’s more! Double fight loot will be dropping this weekend, brought to you by your friendly neighborhood Player Advisory Committee! What?!? Yep, another reason to get excited! Enjoy!

Get Satisfaction

A small group of players will notice that there is now a Feedback tab in your Account dropdown menu. This will give you direct access to Mafia Wars Get Satisfaction. Get Satisfaction was launched in early November of last year and continues to grow. It is a site that organizes player feedback and faciliates getting answers to questions and solutions to problems. To learn how to sign up and navigate the site go HERE.

There are 3 ways to access and utilize Get Satisfaction. The Feedback tab in your game will display the home page options in a game window.

From the game window there is also an option to send private feedback that won't be seen on the site. Simply click on "Post it privately" and fill out your issue.

Go to the Mafia Wars Fan Page and look for the word "feedback" located on the far left column of the page.

 

You will find Get Satisfaction in a Facebook format but it works the same as the main site.

The direct link is http://getsatisfaction.com/mafia_wars and it will take you right to the Get Satisfaction home page.

Underworld Showdown

The Player Advisory Committee

The Player Advisory Committee is a group of 35 players who represent the various subgroups within the Mafia Wars community. Their job is to provide feedback from the community to the Mafia Wars team as well as relay information back to the community. All Mafia Wars players were eligible to apply and those selected were flown to San Fransisco this past weekend. The agenda was full of classes, workshops and fun. We had many presentations by team leaders from Zynga and got to see what it's like for them to manage our game. For more details of what happened and images, click HERE to visit my blog and HERE to visit the forums. All Mafia Wars players are represented by the PAC and you the player are an important part of the outcome. To learn how you can help, please review the steps to providing feedback that gets results by going HERE. This information might not be new to you but you can be a leader within your mafia and help the players who may not know what to do when they encounter problems. I would like to thank Zynga for opening this channel of communication to the players and express that all members of the PAC take our group and new responsibilities seriously. Dead Man Talking: Limited Time Mission

You asked for it and Mafia Wars delivered. For those of you who can't get enough Missions, look for the new limited time Mission called Dead Man Talking. Find it on your Home Page Module or on your Mission Bar. This Mission consists of 6 parts eah offering exciting tasks and challenges. Look for great loot, experience, currency, Loyalty Point and Victory Coin rewards as you work your way through Dead Man Talking. Complete all the tasks and get the Grand Prize of a Lion Fish which has stats of 136/75. Don't be the Dead Man Talking. When the timer runs out, the Mission will expire and you won't get another chance.

Love Is Hard to Find Update

We are happy to announce that there will be a few changes to the Love Is Hard to Find Combo Event. The event has been extended and will end on 2/22/2011 at 11:59pm PST. The number of Broken Hearts that you can accept from your mafia has increased from 20 to 40. All changes will take place with tonights release. Release Notes 2/11/2011

1. Atlantic City Mobile Chapter 4

Camden County , the 4th Chapter of Atlantic City, is now available. Fully master this chapter and you will be awarded a Parkour Master that is an Armor item with stats of 105/121!

2. Italy Consumables

Sets of Hidden Charges and Cooked Books are now on the Free Gift page. You can accept up to 10 of each a day to make Italy a little easier to master.

3. Rivals List

Do you have a beef with someone in Mafia Wars? Now you can create your own Rivals List by adding up to 10 players of your choice. Add players directly from the fightlist or their Mafia Wars profile page. Players can be added or removed at any time.

4. FrontierVille and Café World Cross Game Promotions

The FrontierVille and Café World cross game promotions have officially ended. You can still use any Beaver Pelts and Doctored Invoices that are in your inventory to craft items but will not be able to create anymore.

5. The Big Game Faceoff

The Wisconsin Cheddarheads won the Big Game and player who built the winning franchise were awarded with a Victory Ring for each one. Congrats to to all who hold Victory Rings!

6. Limited Time Mission

The first Limited Time Mission was released on February 3rd. All players had 8 days to complete it. Look for more of these Missions in the future.

7. Missions Bar Change

There is now a drop down menu to view the status off all your Missions. From the Missions Bar, click on "SEE ALL" and all the statistics of your Mission(s) will be viewable in one place.

8. Forum Board Live Question and Answer Session

The Mafia Wars Forum Board hosted a live chat Question and Answer session. Go to this Forum Board Thread to see the all questions and answers. A second session is scheduled for February 11th at 2pm PST. To participate or review the questions, go HERE.

9. Player Advisory Committee Update

The players selected for the Player Advisory Committee have notified and will attend training at Zynga Headquarters in San Fransisco on February 26th. Go to this Zynga Forum Board Thread for more details.

Love Hurts Mock War

Attention ALL Mafia Wars fans! On Valentine's Day, love will be in the air but in the Mafia Wars community the streets will be Blood Red. Grab your best fighting gear and join the Love Hurts Mock War. Fight your way to the top in this huge, community organized battle to the death... then heal... then death again (and it goes on and on and on as long as you can keep up). It's going to hurt! If you want to show off your fighting skillz or get a feel for what a Clan War is really like, now is the time. Participation is open to all Mafia Wars players and signing up is easy. Go to the Love Hurts Mock War Spreadsheet and follow the instructions. You won't want to miss out because there will be lots of prizes and fun. Winners will be randomly selected so everybody who participates has a chance to win. The Mock War will start on February 13th at 12:00 am PST and last all through February 14th. All the action will take place on the Love Hurts Mock War Fan Page.
